How to Find Your Past Life
Many people are interested in finding out whether they may have had a past life, and the number of people who believe that this is in fact the case is growing every day. So, how do you go about discovering who you were and what you may have done in your past life? How many past lives have you had? Hypnosis and meditation are the two most common methods people use to try to discover this information.
Meditation for discovering your past
The first thing you will need to do is find a quiet room where you will not be disturbed. Make sure you will be comfortable, and remove any outside distractions – turn off your phone, computer and television, for example. If other people are around, politely ask them to refrain from disturbing you. You may find it useful to have some music playing very softly in the background – choose something that resembles the sound of waves or a waterfall.
Sit down, make yourself comfortable, and close your eyes. Turning off the lights and closing the curtains may also be a good idea. You may even prefer to lie down, if this will help you to relax more easily.
In your mind, you need to imagine yourself in a long hallway, with a door at the far end. Focus on the details of what it looks like, and remember these, as each time you want to look into your past lives, this is where you will begin. The hallway can appear however you want it to look; richly decorated or plain, a castle or cathedral, or even a forest path, the choice is entirely yours.
The next stage is for you to walk down the hallway. Pay attention as your feet move along the ground, visualise what the journey looks like. Take note of the appearance, sounds, colours and even the smells. Then, once you reach the door, open it. Make sure you visualise this in as much detail as possible, too.
The first thing you see on the other side of the door, whatever it may be, is something from one of your previous lives. It may turn out to be a very specific item, or you might be visualising something more abstract, such as a colour. Keep going, carry on moving forwards, and your vision will become clearer and more detailed.
Be patient. If this is your first time trying to look at your past lives, then you may find that it takes a while for the details to become clear. Ask yourself questions – why do you like a particular hobby, place or even a song? Could it be related to a past life? The answer is yes, it could, and asking this may lead you to that information.
You will reach a point where the visions stop moving, and at this point you need to open your eyes and bring yourself back to the present moment. Normally, this will occur once you have been exploring your past life for a while. However, if you wish to remove yourself from the visions before they stop, imagine yourself walking back up the hallway to where you started.
Discovering a past life through hypnosis
The main advantage of using meditation to discover your past lives is that you can do it by yourself. However, if you find it difficult to reach a meditative state where the visions can flow, then you may want to consider the hypnosis method instead. This involves a professional performing the hypnosis, and then guiding you through your past life and the visions it creates.
